"Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray”. (Luke 5:16) If He needed it, how much more do I??... Could you use some extended quiet time with Jesus? Do you sometimes feel that your time alone with God even at the Days of Refreshing is not enough? You begin to trace a theme through Scripture and it's time to return to the rat race? Is there a question, a burden, an issue that you need to discuss at length with the Father? Would you just enjoy a stretch of uninterrupted peace and quiet alone with Him? Could you benefit from some Christ-centered, Biblical spiritual direction, as well as the encouragement of others who also long to walk with Him? If so, I invite you to join us for the Psalm One Refocus and Refuel Retreat March 5-7. If you have done this before, you know how it pays off in transforming ways. We have had some very special time alone with the Lord as well as some great fun and fellowship together at past retreats. I always benefit from extended time in the Word, prayer, meditation, journaling, just sitting still at His feet. I need to take a time like this often to keep my priorities and perspective straight. If you’ve never done anything like this before, don’t worry—we will have materials and direction to help you get the most out of this much-needed time in the Holy of Holies. This is a “semi-silent” retreat. We open with some teaching and group heart preparation. We close with more time in the Word, sharing and prayer. We enjoy good conversations and laughter over meals. However, in between, we commit to the gift of absolute silence as we meet with God and God alone, so you can enjoy long, uninterrupted times of study, prayer, meditation on the Word, journaling, just resting in His presence. As time allows, I am available for spiritual direction as you seek to follow Christ. Think of it as a stretched-out Day of Refreshing, with far more time to enter into silence and solitude at Jesus' feet. We will break away to Mount St. Joseph in Delhi (Western Cincinnati, off Route 50). You will have your own simple room with shared bathrooms on the hall. There are beautiful grounds to walk, a gorgeous chapel, and plenty of peaceful nooks and crannies to spread out and revel in extended time alone with Jesus. We have a lounge to ourselves and a kitchen for drinks and snacks. Cost is $100, which includes all housing, meals and materials. We'll begin with Friday dinner and wrap up around noon on Sunday. This is for men and women--anyone who desires a deeper relationship with God. (Many married couples find this a great way to strengthen their relationship with God—individually and as a couple.) To RSVP, send your check for $100 (payable to Psalm One Ministries) to Linda Kline. The deadline to receive your registration is February 19. Set aside this time to devote to the Lord. Come and clear out the cobwebs through life-giving time with the Shepherd. I assure you, it will be time well invested. Hope to see you there… In His love, Linda |
