Jet-Lagged Zombie Woman

Greetings from Mason, Ohio!

I’m back in the Northern Hemisphere after an incredible journey with Jesus in Australia and New Zealand.

Psalm One Ministries is now officially closed, but I don’t think that is going to stop God.

The man whose cruel actions shut down the ministry doesn’t realize: "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive” (Genesis 50:20)

We serve an amazing, loving, powerful, creative, unstoppable God, and He knew how much I needed this latest pilgrimage.

I needed:

  • To grieve, partly for the closing of the ministry, mostly for what was done to Kathleen. (Psalm 56:8)

  • To let loose with lament. (Psalm 34:18)

  • To pour out my heart, soul, complaint. (Psalms 42:4, 62:8, 142:2)

  • To “hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left. (Isaiah 30:21)

  • To remember the faithfulness and goodness of God. (Isaiah 54:10)

  • To smile at the future. (Proverbs 31: 25)

  • To worship. (Psalm 95:6)

  • To sleep. (Psalm 127:2)

  • To minister to people around the planet. (2 Corinthians 4:5-6)

  • To be with friends and family—and especially friends who ARE family. (Psalm 68:6)

  • Silence and solitude. It is as vital as oxygen to my soul. (Psalm 62:1)

  • Celebration and dancing. (2 Samuel 6:14)

  • To trust God for what lies ahead. (Psalm 119:105)

  • To rest in the knowledge that Someone is in charge, but it is not me. (Colossians 1:13-20)

  • To praise the Lord for FREEDOM! (Galatians 5:1)

  • Adventure Lies Ahead

I don’t think the Lord is quite finished with me. He’s opened a big world to a little girl who never dreamed she’d leave Indiana. It's huge relationally and geographically. And He has the whole world in His hands. I'm a chicken. But God has been teaching me for decades to feel the fear, trust the One who loves me, and do it anyway. So I’m going to keep saying yes, and following Him as He flings me around the planet.

Thank you to everyone who has been with me on the journey, listening, praying, and putting up with all my photos. I hope you have enjoyed the parties, getaways, speaking, whale sharks, quokkas, koala joeys, kangaroos, snakes, crocodiles, birds, seal pups, plus one or two dogs. I so appreciate having friends to help me celebrate as well as process what’s happening in and around me.

Our next adventure be mostly underwater, so join this mermaid if you want to swim with sea turtles, octopuses, rays, sharks, mantas, and lots of colorful fish. Lord willin' and the creek don't rise, we may also go back to Africa, Ireland, Scotland, England, Newfoundland, Australia, and New Zealand. No matter where God sends me, we'll be following Him, and I doubt it will be boring.

If you want to come along, pray for the adventures, witness the wacky encounters, share in hilarious close encounters, maybe hear a few the whispers from God, see the photos and videos, let me know. Many of my friends have wanted to come along but were never able to make it happen. Email me if you have tried unsuccessfully to get into the suitcase.

If you are already in my carry-on, you'll keep coming along for the adventure unless you choose to slip out (and that’s okay).

  • Would greatly appreciate prayer this week:

"Jet-Lagged Zombie Woman" made it home to my own bed, but within hours I heard dripping in the dining room. They built these condos with cardboard and duct tape, so I have flooding on three levels and they’ll have to rip out my ceiling and flooring.

Thankfully, the water was off while I was gone, so it could have been far worse. But I do have to keep the water off until I get it repaired. So I’ve been showering at the YMCA and using the bathroom at the gas station. TMI? Probably. Sorry.

I am trying to sort out plumbers, water mitigation, repairs, HOA rules, homeowners’ insurance, and huge, unexpected expenses--plus an 8 hour round trip to Cleveland Clinic for medical appointments and further testing to fix my “train wreck” (as my specialist calls it) of neurological issues. Fun, fun!

Never a dull moment for Goodtime Linda.

“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)

With deep gratitude for all your love, prayers, donations, participation, and friendship over the years.

Love,

Linda
